Hey girl, where did you get these shoes, they are soooo cute???????!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Hunan girls reunited!!!
I have missed my friend soooo much!!!
Elizabeth, M and K-so cute and M is just a natural with the girls!!!!
Last Monday we traveled to the St. Pete area and were able to meet up with one of our travelmates and their family while they were here on vacation for spring break. There were a total of 7 families that traveled to China to get our girls and we were lucky enough to meet this family as we deplaned in Beijing. Then we found out our girls were in the same room in the orphanage and clearly had interacted with each other at the orphanage as they just gravitated towards each other any time we were together. So it has now been 8.5 months since our trip to China and we were all VERY anxious to see how the girls acted and if they would remember each other.
As soon as we arrived the girls were a little shy with each other, but did act like they knew each other. Both families have blogs and we routinely look at each other's blogs to show the girls pics of each other. This family also has an 8 year old child as well . I will withhold names to protect their privacy. But long story short, all the girls played with each other and genuinely had a great time together. Unfortunately the winds were blowing about 30 miles an hour so we couldn't stand the sand pelting us at the beach, and ended up spending most of the day indoors. It didn't matter in the least because the girls played and the adults caught up with each other. It was just a great day and we are ready to see some more of the travel group, and soon!!!
There are really no words to explain the bond you form as you travel on this journey to our beautiful girls. We had never met each other prior to arriving in China but then spent the next 2. 5 weeks together, pretty much morning, noon and nite. We got to know each other pretty well. For those of you that have followed the blog, I did grieve pretty hard when we got home because we missed the other families and the opportunity for our girls to get together every day. Now after traveling half way around the world and back, and coming home with just the most precious gift of all, we are all bonded for life. And to have the opportunity to see each other during the year is just so special.
I will apologize ahead of time for the pics because we were so caught up in the reunion and watching the girls and catching up that all the attention was not paid to photo making! Sorry, but here you go.........................................

I love these pics and your story about us all traveling. I think I'm still grieving for our travel group.
